About us
Delivering parcel peace of mind
We get parcels too – and we know how frustrating they can be. The missed deliveries. The soggy “safe place” fails. The packages that vanish without a trace. We’ve lived it ourselves – and that’s exactly why we created Nabo.
Like millions of others, Nabo founders Mikkel Dissing and Lawrence Corbett grew increasingly fed up with their own delivery dramas.
It became clear that the current system wasn’t just inconvenient – it was failing everyone: consumers, retailers and couriers alike.

For Mikkel, the final straw came when a courier claimed to have safely delivered his wife’s new hairdryer, but there was no package or safe place note in sight. Only after reversing his car did he discover it: crushed under the rear wheel…
That moment of frustration sparked a bigger idea: there had to be a better, safer and more human way to handle deliveries.
The £8bn parcel problem
It didn’t take long for Mikkel and Lawrence to realise the parcel problem was far bigger than their own bad experiences. In 2023 alone, it’s estimated around £8 billion worth of parcels were lost or damaged in the UK. Delivery failures aren’t a minor inconvenience – they’re a huge issue affecting millions of businesses and customers, who lose time, money and patience when a parcel goes astray.
So what do you do when you identify a BIG problem? Think small!
Rather than relying on big tech and logistics systems, Nabo’s approach is simple.
When someone can’t be home, a trusted neighbour within walking distance can be ready and waiting to accept the parcel. Thanks to a straightforward booking system, the handover is planned in advance – meaning no missed deliveries, risk of theft, weather damage or costly redeliveries. It also avoids that awkward trip to a neighbour you don’t really know, who the courier has randomly chosen to leave your parcel with!
Communities connected
Inspired by Mikkel’s Danish roots, where neighbourliness and community trust are part of everyday life, Nabo was built to bring those same values into parcel delivery.
Instead of faceless lockers and inconvenient pick-up points, Nabo puts people and communities at the heart of the solution – using trusted neighbours to keep deliveries safe, local and always within ‘slipper distance’.
At its core, Nabo believes stronger communities create better outcomes — for people, for deliveries and for the environment. By turning neighbours into a trusted delivery network, Nabo is making everyday life simpler, safer and more connected.
